I am delighted that your child has been allocated a place at The Manchester Creative and Media Academy (MCMA) for September 2017 and it is with great pleasure that I welcome you and your child to MCMA.
Here at MCMA, we work together for the best in everyone and have the highest aspirations and expectations so that all our pupils can go on to lead happy and successful lives. We believe that the relationship between home and school is key to this and are therefore delighted to formally acknowledge the start of this.
There will be a welcome meeting for pupils and parents on 20 April 2017 at 6pm here at MCMA. This is an excellent opportunity to find out more about the Transition process and will hopefully also enable us to answer any questions that you may have. Prior to this meeting, there will be an informal drop-in session between 4:30pm and 5:30pm for any parents/carers who have specific questions about the Transition process or require additional assistance with any aspect of it. The Academy will be providing your child with a free school blazer and tie and we will be providing you with more information about this during this welcome meeting.
Please can I ask that you telephone or email Mrs Marilyn Shaw to advise us as to your decision to accept the place. Please ensure that you have contacted her by 14 March 2017.
Mrs Shaw’s contact details are:
Telephone: 0161 947 1023/0161 681 1592
If you have any queries about the offer of a place, then Mrs Shaw will also be able to answer these for you, or direct you to the appropriate member of staff.
I am delighted to officially welcome you and your child to our great academy and very much look forward to welcoming you in person at our Transition events.
