From the Principal
As Principal of the Manchester Creative and Media Academy (MCMA) I have wholeheartedly embraced the challenges of raising standards and improving provision to ensure that every student in our care achieves their full potential.
It is very important to us that our students are excellent citizens who have high standards of behaviour and treat each other with kindness and respect. For this reason, we encourage parents, teachers and students to work together in a partnership of true cooperation and openly welcome parents and guardians into MCMA, encouraging real participation and involvement. Our academy offers a wonderful opportunity to learn in inspiring, attractive and hi-tech surroundings. In September 2012 we move into a magnificent £38m new building housing both boys’ and girls’ academies.
This outstanding provision will not only provide our students but also the wider community with access to the very best learning resources and leisure facilities available. High quality learning and teaching means that our students benefit from being thoroughly prepared for future life and the world of work through the deployment of a range of new technologies and, of course, the support of our sponsors who provide a range of opportunities for our students.
Media and creativity permeates through the work we do in all curriculum areas, offering unique learning experiences helping to build self esteem, develop key skills, and excite and interest our students.
