In the Academic year 2014-15, MCMA launched its “Anti-bullying ambassadors” initiative across the Academy. Students from different year groups have been trained to become anti-bullying ambassadors and they are on hand to ensure that all members of the academy feel safe and have someone to approach, should they need to.
The anti-bullying ambassadors have supported in the re-writing of the Academy’s anti-bullying policy and involved parents/carers in the writing of this. They have also produced a “student friendly” version for easy access.
We are really proud of the work of our anti-bullying ambassadors and they won an inaugural national prize for their work back in March 2014.
An overview of the policy can be found in the leaflet below. If you are a student and worried about anything, then you can always speak to one of our students who are wearing a “blue tie” or “red tie”. No concern is a silly concern. If you are worried or concerned about anything, then do mention it either to one of our students, or to a member of staff and we will look into this for you. Equally, if you are a parent/carer with a concern, then please do get in touch with your child’s Head of Year or Associate Head of Year.
