How Academy Sponsorship Works

Sponsors work in partnership with local people, the existing schools, their staff and young people to develop the academies’ proposals. The sponsors are members of the academy board, which includes parent representatives. Through their connections in business, enterprise and community activities, the sponsors provide an exciting range of opportunities for young people at the academies to learn both in the classroom and the workplace.
